Nice Sunday in Walden!
We have enjoyed a wonderful weekend here around Lake Conroe. Yesterday Mark and I rode to breakfast at the Old Mongomery Steakhouse on our Harleys. After breakfast, Mark strolled over to see Barber John for a haircut and I walked over to the first Saturday trade day in Historic Downtown Montgomery.
We have such a talented bunch of folks around Montgomery. There were lots of wonderful hand-made items from soaps to banana bread! I am always happy to see Lisa from Sunshine Farms. Lisa makes the most wonderful lotions, soaps, and unique products. If you don't know about Sunshine Farms you need to!!
The web site for Sunshine Farms is:
As you can tell it is a VERY special place. Lisa has goats, chickens, and lots of organic produce!! I picked up a "Frankincense & Myrrh" lotion bar and soap bar. You will probably remember that is what the Wise Men brought Baby Jesus in the manger. Of course they also brought gold......but that wasn't in the budget!!
After I finished up my shopping and Mark got his haircut we rode on towards Plantersville and then on to Anderson and made a stop back by Drifters before heading back to get ready for other committments.
We were blessed to get to go to church this morning with friends at the Walden Community Church. Of course we saw lots of other friends there. It is so nice to live in a small community where you get to know your neighbors!
We topped off our Sunday morning with brunch at the Walden Yacht Club. What a wonderful meal we had in a spectacular setting!!
Now it is off for showings and open houses this afternoon! I hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful Christmas season.
